Irish/Canadian Music

I've been listening to a lot of music on Pandora lately. I was turned onto this sexy internet radio by our very own Slider. I'm sure most of you are probably already familiar with it (I tend to hear about awesome internet resources only after they're super old news). For all of you who aren't familiar, Pandora provides recommendations based on your preferences. You can input songs or artists that you like, tag songs that you like/don't like, and skip tracks if you're not down with what you're listening to. Currently, it's my favorite way to discover new music.

I've been listening to a lot of Irish/Canadian folk/punk music lately. If you're into that, make yourself a profile and a station.

Depending on what you're looking for, here's what to include:

Punk/Rock
The Pogues* (Irish)
Flogging Molly* (Irish)
Dropkick Murphys (Irish/Boston)
The Fenians (Irish)
The Real McKenzies (Scottish Canadian)
The Tossers (Irish)
The Young Dubliners (Irish)

Folk/Rock
Great Big Sea* (Canadian)
Gaelic Storm (Irish)

Traditional Folk
Mustard's Retreat (Nautical)
The Dubliners (Irish)
Danu* (Irish)
Schooner Fare* (Nautical)
The Chieftains* (Irish)
